Red Rapids Interface DLL

Provides a software interface to the following Red Rapids digital tuner cards for data acquisition, signal generation, software radio implementation and real-time signal processing applications:

• WaveRunner (PCI card)
• PocketWatch (PCMCIA Type II)

Hardware Features

• Supports both Rx and Tx functions*
• Analog IF (100 kHz - 125 MHz)
• Up to 8 separately tuned digital
   downconversion (DDC) channels each
   providing I/Q baseband outputs
• Choice of 14 bit ADC @ 80 Msps or
   10 bit ADC @ 95Msps
• Internal or external sample clock
• Full control of DDC digital filtering and
   decimation functions
• Multi GigaByte data snapshots with
   fast DMA access
• Single tuner bandwidth up to 2.5 MHz
   (PocketWatch), 8.6 MHz (WaveRunner)
• Supports real-time data streaming to
   VisSim/Comm diagrams

* Tx function currently only available on WaveRunner model

Software Defined Radio Applications

Red Rapid's digital tuning products and VisSim/Comm provide a perfect solution to designing Virtual Digital Receivers and Transmitters using your PC.

VisSim/Comm models can now be used to generate real-time IF/RF test signals for product design support.

Real-Time Streaming Capability

Provides continuous real-time streaming of complex baseband data (I/Q) into VisSim/Comm diagrams at sample rates approaching 1 MHz depending on diagram complexity and CPU speed.
